Dear CSR Shanghai Community Members,
You are cordially invited to the next CSR Forum meeting at 2:30-4:30pm, Thursday 1st March at the Big Meeting Room of EUCCC Shanghai Chapter. This meeting will be co-hosted by Beijing and Shanghai CSR Forum and will be linked up through a video system.
At this meeting, European chamber is delighted to invite Dr. Peiyuan Guo, the General Manager of Syntao, one of the leading CSR consultancies in China, to explore the “Top 10 CSR Trends in China for 2018”. Dr. Guo will share his insights on how CSR interfaces with the latest global and local policy impacts, industry movements, hot society issues, capital market changes, etc. Every year, his prediction of the top 10 CSR trends in China is regarded as a good inspiration to every enterprise to think, modify and further shape their CSR efforts for the year ahead. In addition, after Dr. Guo’s presentation, European chamber will invite Ms. Coco Zhang, Vice President of External Affairs from Mary Kay China to lead the industry comments on the “Top 10 CSR Trends in China” from a business perspective in Shanghai and Ms. Jessica Wang, Corporate Social Responsibility Director from FrieslandCampina China will share her industry observations in Beijing.
Following the call for candidates, the Corporate Social Responsibility Forum is pleased to announce the members who have put their names forward for the 2018 Chair elections. The Election will take place after the previous sharing session and we invite all participants to join a discussion to express your opinion on a tailor made European Chamber CSR Forum to your career development needs and through the sharing further leverage member’s expertise at our platform.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Chair and Vice-Chairs play a crucial role in driving forum activities. The Corporate Social Responsibility Forum can have, at most, one Chair and two Vice-Chairs. According to European Chamber guidelines, members must be present at the Forum to register a vote for the Chair elections. One company one vote.

Dr. Guo Peiyuan
Dr. Guo Peiyuan
Dr. Guo Peiyuan co-founded SynTao in 2005 and has served as the General Manager since then. After development of over a decade, SynTao has become a leading sustainability consulting firm in China with clients covering multinational companies and Chinese local companies.
Dr.GUO holds a Ph.D. in Management and a Bachelor Degree of Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University. He is an expert on corporate environment management, responsible investment and green economy. He is a committee member for Energy Efficiency and Emission Control Verification Committee of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, and a founding member for Green Finance Committee of China Society for Finance and Banking. Dr.GUO is also knowledgeable about UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and has been invited by UNDP China as a lecturer for UNDP SDGs Online Course.
Dr. Guo teaches an MBA course Business Performance and Sustainability in School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, and international student course Social Innovation and CSR in School of Social Development and Public Policy, Beijing Normal University.
Ms. Coco Zhang
Ms. Coco Zhang
Ms. Zhang Jing (Coco Zhang) oversees government affairs, media relations, corporate communication, corporate social responsibility and customer services of Mary Kay China. As one of the leadership members of Mary Kay China, she is fully engaged in decision-making and drafting strategic policies for the China region.
Ms. Zhang contributes to creating a solid business environment for Mary Kay China. Under her leadership, Mary Kay China establishes the strategy and framework of sustainable development and builds strong relations with the government and media. To create sustainable value for the society, Ms. Zhang set up the corporate social responsibility system of Mary Kay China. Up to now, Mary Kay China has spent more than 180 million RMB supporting social welfare and provided nearly 400,000 hours of volunteer services, all the while creating values of women's rights development and environmental protection. The company won the China Charity Award in 2013.
Ms. Jessica Wang
Ms. Jessica Wang
Ms. Xuetong (Jessica) Wang works as corporate social responsibility (CSR) director of Royal FrieslandCampina China Business Group, in charge of its programmes regarding women and children care, poverty alleviation, China dairy sector support and sustainability development.
Jessica has nearly 20 years of professional experience in public affairs of corporate, including 10 years of experience in the field of CSR. Before joining FrieslandCampina, she worked with Starbucks as senior global responsibility manager from 2010 to 2015, responsible for establishing its community strategy, developing key partnership and launching a series of programmes such as Global Month of Service and Youth Leadership Development. From 2003 to 2010, Jessica served as senior corporate affairs manager in Walmart, responsible for government relation, communication and CSR in east China. Prior to Walmart, Jessica started her career in government agency and its enterprise.
Jessica holds master degree of University of London, in the programme of Globalisation and Multinational Corporations. She participated in LEAD & Beyond Programme Fellowship 2012/13, and learned in Peking University and Social Innovation Exchange Australia. Jessica has special interest in CSR evolvement in China, and actively engages in professional networking. She serves as member of CSR Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment and member of secretariat of CSR We Can which is a CSR professional platform.
