Under PRC law, companies are obliged to either hire people with disabilities or make contributions to the employment security fund for people with disabilities. Hiring people with disabilities is not only the company’s corporate social responsibility but also a way of promoting the company workforce diversity and more inclusion in the teams.
The European Chamber members pay great attention to the implementation of a fairer system to employ people with disabilities in China and included it as a Key Recommendation to the 2017/2018 Human Resources Position Paper. In order to help members to better engage with people with disabilities in their business, the European Chamber is delighted to invite Mr. Haibin Zhou, Consultant of the United Nations and International Labour Organization, UN Disability Equality Training Facilitator and Co-founder of Easy Inclusion Consulting, to explain the preparatory work that needs to be undertaken to successfully hire and include talent with disabilities in the workplace, both from the company and person perspectives. A Panel of HR Executives will then be invited to share their practical insights on employing and retaining talent with disability.
