The Cybersecurity Law promulgated on 7th November, 2016 will become effective on 1st June, 2017, and will have significant ramifications for business operations. It is so far-reaching that almost all industries will be impacted. With the Chinese Government intensifying its efforts in developing relevant implementing rules, some cybersecurity regimes have already started to take shape.
The Cybersecurity Compliance Series is a series of sessions on latest cybersecurity regulatory developments and how they may have an impact on companies. In this first session, Barbara Li, Partner at Norton Rose LLP will give a presentation on China’s personal information protection framework, and Jianying He, Government Relations Director at SAP will update on the latest developments on rules regarding the cybersecurity review.
Following the presentations, there will be an open discussion on industry concerns and issues pending clarification.
