International assignments from Europe to China continue to rise at roughly a rate of 20-25% each year. At the same time China is ranked as the third most challenging location for international assignments after only Africa and India with adapting to the culture being identified as the number one challenge for expatriate employees.
Building cultural understanding and adaptability for international assignees to China is a critical method to increase ROI by improving an assignee’s results and reducing the risk of failed assignments.
Learning Objective:
During this one-day training, you will have a clear understanding of the impact of culture on working styles in China, identify cultural gaps that may act as blocks and gain specific methods to adapt more effectively. You will also have clear ideas about how to communicate differences with locals and create better teamwork, trust and results.
Practical examples, skill-focused activities and cases will be used to keep the participants engaged and help them to apply what they have learned back at work.
The program is supported by two assessments that include a pre-program debrief and discussion for each participant with a certified cross cultural coach and ongoing access to the GlobeSmart online learning platform for six months’ time.
