Dear Working Group member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next joint WG meeting on the Euro-China Eco City Link Project (EC Link). It will be held on Tuesday, 12 April, 10am – 12 noon at the European Chamber Beijing office. Members in Shanghai will be able to join via videoconference at the Chamber’s Shanghai office at No. 333 Huaihai Middle Road, Shui'on Plaza, Room 2204.
The objective of this meeting is to brief members on the progress of the EC Link project, as well as upcoming events and business opportunities for members of the European Chamber. In particular, the EC Link team will introduce the new project website, which features pilot projects and needs of Chinese cities.
Speakers from the EC Link project include Mr. Frederic Asseline, Team Leader, Mr. Malte Beckmann, Knowledge Manager, and Dr. Guowen Dai, Deputy Director, Project Task Force.
EC-LINK was set up to facilitate and enable the cooperation and learning between European and Chinese cities on urbanization issues. The project has the highest government endorsement from both Europe and China, as it is part of the EU-China Partnership on Urbanization. With the services, technical assistance, and expertise the project may provide, it assists the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MoHURD) in shaping the national eco-low carbon framework, and helps municipalities in terms of eco-low carbon urban development.
The European Chamber is an associate partner of EC Link.
