General Policy:

From November 2020, travellers to China are required to present negative results for both COVID PCR antigen and IgM antibody tests in order to proceed with the HDC green code application.

Since many travellers have been vaccinated or in some cases have infection record, Chinese embassies in Europe have released detailed requirements on how to apply for HDC code.

The European Chamber has developed a chart to help readers have a general understanding of the HDC code application process in different situations when travelling from Europe to China. Please download high-resolution chart at the bottom of the page.

Detailed requirements may vary from country to country. Please refer to each country’s regulation (see links below) in individual cases.
