CSR Report of Volkswagen Junior Football Program summarizes five years of development

[February 20, 2019, Shanghai] At the awards ceremony of Chinese Footballer of the Year, Volkswagen Group China released CSR Report of Volkswagen Junior Football Program, which was also supported by the Research Center of Soccer Development in China (RCSDC), Division of Sports Science and Physical Education, Tsinghua University. The report systematically analyzes the junior football program, supported by Volkswagen Group China, in the past five years based on the current status quo of technology improvement, talent reserve and training systems regarding junior football as well as the concept of “Football Is More Than a Match”. It shows experiences learned by the young football players, coaches and related participants, and summarizes the results of the Junior Football Program, by Volkswagen Group China, and how the sustainable development of junior football and the growth of the youth are being furthered. Up to now, a total of 5,000 young players and coaches have benefited directly, with indirect beneficiaries of up to 45,000.
