Mr. Marcus Wassmuth appointed as the Chairman of the Shanghai Chapter and Vice-President of the European Chamber

On 12th January, the Executive Committee of the European Chamber co-opted Mr. Marcus Wassmuth to be the Chairman of the Shanghai Chapter and Vice-President of the European Chamber.  He will serve in this position until the Annual General Meeting in April 2016. Marcus has been active in the European Chamber for the many years, in which he headed the local banking working group from 2002 until 2006 and again from 2011 until 2013. He was also a member of the local board in Shanghai twice between 2003 until 2011 for a total of 5 years, and was founder and chairman of the local SME working group for three years. Marcus currently also serves as the Chief Representative of Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg’s office in Shanghai.  

He succeeds Dr. Stefan Sack who prematurely stepped down from his position. The European Chamber thanks Stefan for his commitment, leadership and dedication to the European Chamber as the Shanghai Chairman and Vice-President of the Chamber for the past two and a half years. Stefan will continue to remain an active member of the Chamber.
