Position Overview
An internship position is available at the European Chamber’s Beijing Office. The financial services Working Groups and the Inter-Chamber SME Working Group is looking for a highly motivated intern to support the daily affairs of great spectrum.
Responsibilities
Track developments in Chinese laws, regulations and policies that affect foreign financial institutions and SMEs, financial institutions and SMEs with foreign investments and others
- Prepare periodic newsletters to the Working Groups members
- Attend to requests and enquiries from members and other stakeholders
- Assist in organizing meetings and events
- Write meeting minutes and general reports
- English-Chinese translation, occasional oral translations
- Support lobby activities
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the line managers
Skills & experience
Native mandarin with excellent command of spoken and written English
Excellent interpersonal skills (strong sense of responsibility, attention to details and communication skills etc.) with self-motivation to learn and achieve from an internship
Students majoring in law, economics, political sciences or language studies are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.
How to apply
This internship runs for 6 months, starting mid-July. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor or postgraduate program and willing to work at the office for 5 days per week. The intern will receive a stipend of 2,000 RMB (net) per month from the fourth month of the internship onwards.
