Job description
Responsibilities:
• Work with Project Managers and Project Architects in order to carry out design work.
• Carry out research and analysis as needed for a project.
• Design and drafting role from Concept to Construction drawings, including production of information for projects (CAD drawings, Sketch Up models, presentations, etc.).
• Involvement in multiple projects if required.
• Completing design and drafting assignments.
• Assisting in the production of models, marketing material, and presentation packages.
• Assisting project manager or senior level staff in developing a design strategy and dealing with Clients, Local Authorities, Design Institutes, external consultants and contractors.
• Site attendance and business trips as needed (overnight stays required).
• Implement Company Quality System throughout the jobs, and contribute to the overall implementation of office procedures.
• Implement continuous development of own skills and expertise.
• Attend design and production meetings in/out of the office with project architects and project managers when required.
Skills & experience
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering with focus on Architectural Design.
• At least 5 years full-time work experience. Experience abroad or with international firms would be an advantage.
• Experience in all fields of Architectural Design and Master-planning, from conception to completion. Some interior design experience would be an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D Modeling and Rendering (3DS Max or Rhino), Photoshop, Microsoft Office package.
• Versatile and creative individual, with innovative design ideas.
• Excellent portfolio of projects.
• Enthusiastic, open minded, with excellent presentation skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written/spoken English is a must. Chinese would be an advantage but is not essential.
