Adding another milestone to the growing ecosystem of EU sustainability regulation, the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive ("CSDDD") entered into force on 25 July 2024. This substantial piece of legislation is designed to mandate certain large EU and non-EU companies operating in the EU to conduct risk-based human rights and environmental due diligence.
