The challenges climate change is presenting for the sustainable growth of the global economy are prompting governments, businesses and individuals to work towards achieving their carbon neutral goals through combined efforts. These include by increasing energy efficiency and accelerating the transition to net-zero, with reducing carbon emissions the preliminary step.
One of the most common tools and methods of limiting greenhouse gases (GHGs), carbon accounting is an effective mechanism used by many enterprises to measure and track their emissions, both overall and in relation to particular projects or actions. Carbon accounting enables organisations to track their progress towards net-zero in a consistent and transparent manner, and avoid any potential accounting or business surprises.
In this event, experts will walk participants through the basics of the often conflated or undefined carbon-related terms, provide an overview of the growing and diversified carbon markets, and present three net-zero strategy scenarios for financial reporting considerations (namely, carbon offset programmes, technology and renewable energy).
Onsite seats will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
