Government communication is an art, and the sense of propriety is very important! Government communication document writing is an important and indispensable basic work for enterprises, and it is the link and bridge between enterprises and the government. Improving the writing level of government communication documents is of great significance to promoting government affairs (GA) and even business operations of enterprises.

- Application Practice: Government communication documents see the big from the small. The scope of application covers a variety of practical details of the GA system. It can be said that it is the anchor point to show the effectiveness and value of GA on the basis of long-time systematic work. At the same time, the training strives to give appropriate approach suggestions from the timing and perspective of government engagement.

Based on policy theory and a large number of cases/ templates, this course expounds the main categories and characteristics, basic writing principles and writing scenario analysis of government communication documents from the aspects of language habits, communication methods, and writing skills. It aims to help GA practitioners and relevant business personnel conduct written communication with the government stakeholders at all levels in a more accurate, effective and standardized manner.

Mr. Brent Yuan
Mr. Brent Yuan
Brent Yuan joined Yuan Associates in January 2010 and become a partner in January 2017.
As the Senior Director for Yuan Associates, Mr. Yuan is responsible for client services in across multiple sectors like manufacturing, chemical, agriculture, consumer goods, services, pharmaceuticals, and IT, etc. Mr. Yuan focuses his energy on helping international clients to promote corporate reputation and address operational challenges, specializing in government relations and external communications. Since July 2016, Mr. Yuan has been the firm’s key trainer for the Government Affairs Training Program of the American Chamber of Commerce and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, which has received massive positive recognition after years of operation.
Mr. Yuan has valuable experience working with multinational companies, concentrating in public relations, branding, crisis management, and media relations from ten years of professional experience in relevant fields at both media outlets and multinational enterprises. Before joining Yuan Associates, Mr. Yuan worked as a public communication supervisor to several multinational enterprises, including BMW and Amway. Prior to working in the public relations sector, Mr. Yuan started his career as a reporter for China Construction Machinery magazine, during which time he interviewed over 40 presidents of multinational companies.
Mr. Yuan holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Beijing International Studies University.
