According to China's law, once appointed to manage a company, the legal representative will take certain powers and be exposed to legal liabilities at the same time, which may lead to personal risks for wrongdoings either by him/herself or by the company and its employees, subject to civil, administrative or even criminal liability. For foreign nationals, penalties in serious cases may include deportation and ban from China for several years. Event description:
In China, livestreaming and mobile video apps grew in popularity earlier, and far more quickly. This was significant, because it gave a strong cultural foundation, onto which social commerce could build. Social commerce made up 13% of retail e-commerce sales in China in 2021, and the industry is expected to grow by 38.5% on annual basis to reach $363,547.3 million in 2022.

The way people communicate and live their lives has altered considerably and therefore influenced how companies operate and communicate with their clients. The rise of a new consumer class — the affluent, sophisticated, and highly connected millennial — has helped to grow the e-commerce revolution and make China a powerhouse of social commerce.
