With as many as 20% of European companies stating their intention to reduce costs through headcount reduction, "slimming down for winter" seems to be fairly common sentiment in 2019.

In any significant organizational change HR professionals are tasked with the role of both organizer and coordinator. In order to facilitate a headcount reduction project it essential that these professionals are equipped with the tools to develop and execute a reduction plan that is comprehensive and adaptable to the multitude of challenges that may arise during or even before this process.

In this seminar, European Chamber is delighted to welcome labor affairs expert Mr. Bo Shao from LABOURS consulting along with Ms Linda Zhang, HRD, Reuters Technology China to share with members how do go about developing such a plan along with the more general best practices on navigating the myriad of challenges associated with a staff reduction.

邵博先生毕业于中国人民大学人力资源专业，从事劳动关系管理咨询工作十余年。主持了宏碁与方正合作重组中的人员精简项目，汤森路透、辉瑞、英美烟草等各大中外企业的规模性劳动关系调整项目近50个。邵博先生在项目过程中时刻关注客户需求的变化与关键点，以结果为导向，综合运用人力资源先进理念对接中国法律法规政策，为客户解决员工管理中的各类实操问题。

Mr. Bo Shao graduated from China’s Renmin University majoring in human resource management. He has worked in labor relations management consultation for nearly 10 years and has managed nearly 50 labor relations adjustment projects in both domestic and international enterprises, including the restructure projects between acer and founder, Thomson Reuters, Pfizer, British American Tobacco, etc. Mr. Shao pays close attention to changes and critical points in customer demands across the processes of various projects.

张琳女士，从事人力资源工作近28年，曾任职于美国控制数据（中国）公司；优利系统（中国）有限公司；辉瑞制药（中国）有限公司；泰康人寿；现任路通世纪科技（中国）有限公司人力资源总监。专注于组织发展、人才及领导力发展、人力资源运营等领域，引领过数十次各类型的组织变革。

Linda has been working in human resources for nearly 28 years. She has held various management and leadership positions in Control Data, Unysis, Pfizer, Taikang Life Insurance. From 2006 till now, she is the HR Director for Reuters Technology (China) Limited. She specializes in organizational development, talent and leadership development, as well as HR operations. In the past experience, she has led various types of organizational change.
