About Automotive Roundtable Series
The “Automotive Roundtable Series” features a number of selected roundtable events, which aim to connect the industry, exchange ideas and discuss business opportunities and challenges in China. The Roundtables are conveniently held outside the chamber and coordinated primarily by G-I-Events. As the Strategic Partner to G-I-Events, chamber members will enjoy reserved speaking slots for presentation and panel discussion for the selected roundtables.

- Automotive Logistics in China-How to optimize the Automotive Supply Chain -
The rapid growth of China's auto consumption led the vigorous development of auto logistics industry. As important part of the automotive supply chain, the efficiency of auto logistics has a major impact on the sustainable transportation. Therefore the automotive logistics standardization system, utilization of supply chain management, third party logistics and the expanding influence of e-commerce concern the industry. The July Automotive Roundtable will provide the platform to discuss the development of China's automotive logistics sector.

Mr. Al Cardona, Head of Imported Finished Vehicle Logistics & Customs, BMW
Mr. Al Cardona is responsible for managing and overseeing all logistics related activities (scheduling, customs clearance, survey, processing and distribution via the Ports of Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou for all Rolls Royce, BMW and Mini's being imported and distributed to the Chinese market). He has 22 years with BMW with several overseas assignments (Germany, U.S., China) covering wide range of positions including Body in White Product planning, Facilities project management, Service Parts Supplier Development, Production control, Purchasing among others. He had 5 years with Japanese Electronic OEM prior to BMW.

Iris Lai, being the Director of Integrated Logistics of Kerry EAS Logistics Limited, has been in 3PL Logistic industry for more than 12 years. She's responsible for China domestic business inclusive of end-to-end domestic supply chain solutions with warehousing and distribution across the country. She's based in Shanghai to service a diversified customer profile such as automobile, fashion & retail as well as electronics & technology. She also got experience in management consulting and SAP consulting before joining Kerry, with an academic background of Accounting.

Moderator: Andy Zhao, Head of China Production Control & Logistics, Faraday Future
From 2015 until now Andy worked as the Senior Manager, Head of China Production Control & Logistics at Faraday Future. From 2012 to 2015 he worked at Chery Jaguar Land Rover as Inbound Logistics Manager, Plant Logistics Manager, Senior Manager of Material Planning & Logistics. From 2010 to 2012 he served as Advanced Logistics Specialist in BMW Brilliance.
