On 28th March, European Chamber Nanjing Chapter hosted the Nanjing Government Dialogue 2024. Representatives of the Nanjing Bureau of Commerce along with 12 other departments of the Nanjing Municipal Government, as well as representatives of more than 50 European companies, attended the conference. The annual dialogue provides a platform where member companies can convey their concerns directly to the government and communicate with other companies.

In the opening session, Dr Andreas Risch, Board chair of the Nanjing chapter, delivered the welcoming speech. Mr Wang Chaoyong, deputy director general of the Nanjing Municipal Commerce Bureau, delivered a speech on the advantages of investing in Nanjing and opportunities for European business. In addition, the representative from Chamber member companies shared the experiences and suggestions on the development of foreign enterprises in China.

During panel discussions, European companies and the relevant government departments’ representatives discussed topics such as power shortages, foreign investment policies, talent attraction policies and entry-exit policies, among others.
