“Prevention and Care of Dry Eye Syndrome”Event Achieved Success

On March 26th, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as the "European Chamber Shenyang Chapter") collaborated with  Aier Excellence Eye Hospital (hereinafter referred to as "Aier ") to host a event themed "Clear and Comprehensive Vision: Prevention and Care of Dry Eye Syndrome" .Mr. Erich KAISERSEDER, Chair of the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter, Mr. Matt SULLIVAN, Board Member of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter, and Prof. MA Liwei of Aier , along with other leaders, attended the event.

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Erich and Prof. Ma delivered speeches, welcoming both Chinese and foreign friends attending the event. They briefly introduced the service purposes of the the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter and the hospital, expressing their expectations for the successful hosting of the event.

Following that, Prof. Ma briefly explained topics related to the prevention and treatment of common eye diseases, including DED, and discussed the causes of tear film instability, basic symptoms of dry eye syndrome such as blurred vision, frequent blinking, itching and feeling of foreign body sensation in the eye, as well as methods for relief and prevention of cataracts and related ophthalmic surgeries. After the sharing session, participants engaged in interactive exchanges with Prof. Ma regarding eye discomfort experienced in daily work and life, allowing each guest to gain a new and in-depth understanding of eye health, proper eye usage, and daily eye care. Subsequently, Prof. Ma personally led the guests on a tour, introducing them to the core departments of Aier, representative diagnostic and therapeutic instruments, equipment, and corresponding ophthalmic diseases and care knowledge. After the tour, guests conduct further detailed examination such as visual acuity, refraction, and intraocular pressure tests in the second-floor examination room according to their individual needs. Finally, Prof. Ma conducted ophthalmic testing for the guests in the international consultation room, demonstrating the compassion of medical practitioners to the fullest. The event concluded satisfactorily in a harmonious and pleasant atmosphere.

The European Chamber Shenyang Chapter hopes this event can help member companies, privileged partners, and foreign friends increase their understanding of dry eye syndrome-related knowledge, and enhance people's attention to eye health issues.
