European Chamber Nanjing Chapter Attended the China-Europe International Industrial Cooperation Forum

In order to promote the international cooperation of China-EU biomedical industry and the high-quality development of biomedical industry in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, on the afternoon of April 26th, the City living Room-China-Europe International Industrial Cooperation Forum, jointly organized by the Provincial Department of Commerce, Jiangsu CCPIT, the Provincial intellectual property Office, the Nanjing Jiangbei New area and the Nanjing CCPIT, was successfully held in the Yangtze River Conference Center of Nanjing Jiangbei New area. With the hybrid online/offline model, more than 1000 attendees from industry, university, research and other fields conducted in-depth discussions and full exchanges around the international development of the biomedical industry.

Dr Andreas Risch, chair of the European Chamber Nanjing Chapter attended this event and delivered a speech, emphasising the cooperation opportunity between China and EU and sharing the role of the Chamber as the bridge between European business and China. Jiangsu has always maintained the leading position of a strong province in medicine industry. For example, last year, Jiangsu’s number of newly listed innovative medicine ranks first in the country. the Chamber is glad to see the rapid development of the industry in Jiangbei, especially their effort to build the whole healthcare & life sciences supply chain, introducing the medicine R&D, health big data, etc. 

The China–EU comprehensive Agreement on Investments (CAI) stressed to strengthen the protection of IPR and to increase the attractiveness of China's R & D environment, which will attract more EU enterprises to invest in biomedical industry and other high value-added industries. China's medical industry will benefit from The EU's experience of manufacturing technology and production.

China IPR SME Helpdesk also attended this forum and shared the services of the organization, as well as the concerns of the European SMEs in IPR field.
