40th Anniversary of China-EU Relations Celebration in Guangzhou Go back »

As part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the EU and China, the Delegation of the European Union to China and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, with the support of Consulates General of EU Member States in Guangzhou, organised a special event on 20th May, 2015, for European and Chinese business community members. The guest of honour was HE Hans Dietmar Schweisgut, Ambassador of the European Union to China, who was joined by and Xu Shaohua, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, and Ambassadors to China and Consuls General of 23 EU Member States.
More than 150 representatives of European and Chinese business attended this event, which received a great deal of media attention resulting in coverage in numerous publications and on other media platforms, including Guangzhou TV, Nanfang Media, News GD, International Link, International Daily News and South Reviews. The European Chamber would like express its sincere appreciation to the EU Consulates General present in Guangzhou for being the co-organisers of this event and in particular the Consulate General of Italy, of Belgium, of France, of the Federal Republic of Germany, of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, of Poland and of Spain for their support.
