La Crèmerie is a first flagship store in Aisa which is located in Shanghai’s Jing’an district. The official opening on November 2019. We are looking for a dynamic person who will contribute greatly to this new place-to-be for foodies in Shanghai!
The space will function as a retail shop and a communications tool for the French Dairy Sector to educate and raise awareness of French dairy products to the media/influencers, consumers and chefs/trade through classes, events, pop-up shops and more.
There is already a similar concept store in New York City, USA, for French cheeses only.
Job description
La Crèmerie is a marketing space in Shanghai, financed by the French Dairy sector to promote French dairy products (mainly cheese, butter, cream) to media, chefs and consumers. Reporting to the General Manager of our flagship store La Crèmerie, we are hiring the Marketing & Events Manager, who will contribute to the events organization and regular retail work as well.
Skills & experience
Trade Marketing & Events:
• Creativity and outside the box thinking
• Responsible for planning, developing and executing the various events (tasting paring, cooking classes, thematic activities, etc.) for Chinese professionals (Chefs, F&B managers, retailers, trade medias…) in order to increase the store awareness and to educate Chinese professionals and consumers about French dairy products.
• Manage budget and third parties (agencies, caterers, instructors, speakers, vendors, VIP, guests) to create and execute successful regular in-store events several times a month (including setup, maintenance and breakdown)
• Optimize opportunities for cross promotion and engagement across channels with Food Service, trade medias, partners and influencers
• Internal collaboration with digital marketing.
Retail Responsibilities:
• Open & close space, respecting hours of operation, dress code, cleanliness and image
• Receive and respond to requests via email, internet & phone.
• Enter, update and maintain information on events calendar
• Manage purchasing, inventory and merchandising
• Advise consumers on products and explain the concept, offer tastings/pairing tips

Qualifications:
• Must have good communication, be teamwork oriented, take responsibility, positive and optimistic
• Minimums 3 years’ experience of relevant events/ marketing/ food sector is preferred
• Strong events planning and management knowledge and experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or Communications preferred
• Hours will vary including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English or French
