European Chamber invites its members to give relief donations for Yushu Earthquake

An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale struck northwestern China on the morning of 14th April 2010 and affected many areas of Qinghai province. Chinese authorities this morning have raised the death toll to 617 and about 9,000 people had been injured.

Members and staff of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China are deeply saddened by the loss of life, injuries and damage inflicted by the earthquake.

The European Chamber hopes that members can support the affected areas and assist the victims to rebuild their homes and restore their normal life. Certain products like drinkable water, instant food, bedding and blankets, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, construction equipments and rescue instruments are urgently needed.
