Roundtable with Legal and Regulation Department of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC)

On 14th December 2023, the European chamber representatives joined a roundtable hosted by the Legal and Regulation Department of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and presented key challenges foreign companies are facing under the current business environment. The Chamber representative appreciated the NDRC's effort in promoting fair and law-based business environment. The published 24 measures and recent central economic work conference also echoed the commitment of Chinese government to provide a market oriented and law-based playing field for foreign investors. Issues like uncertainty and ambiguity of the policy, biased treatment in procurement and participation of standard establishment, IPR protection, cross border data transfer were discussed during the meeting.
