Briefing by European Chamber South China and Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in GZ to Minister and Deputy Head of Delegation of the EU to China

Mr. Chris Wood, Minister and Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union to China and Ms. Marjo Crompvoets, Consul General, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, visited the European Chamber office in South China on May 17th, 2017. During this meeting representatives of the Chamber spoke about the concerns of the European companies in Guangdong as well as local developments and government initiatives. Among the key points that were highlighted were the enforcement of intellectual property rights, development of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone, as well as the upcoming China - EU (Guangdong) conference planned by the local government in September 2017.

In the conclusion of the meeting Mr. Wood recognized the importance of the work and achievements of the European Chamber in addressing the government and representing the European businesses on both national and provincial level.
