6th EU-China Industrial Dialogue

The 6thEU-China Industrial Dialogue between the Ministry for Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) and the European Commission, Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) was held in Beijing on 27thOctober. The meeting was co-chaired by Director-General of DG GROW Evans and Vice-Minister of MIIT XinGuobin.
The Chinese delegation’s presentation focused on China Manufacturing 2025, supply-side reform and the new industrial revolution in the context of G20. In turn, the EU delegation highlighted the circular economy, the better regulation agenda, European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) and the single market strategy. Later, staff from both sides provided a summary of the outcome of the four working groups that took place before the plenary. Finally, industry representatives from the energy and automotive sectors as well as SMEs were invited to deliver their contributions.
