Meeting with Foreign Investment Administration, MOFCOM

DDG Fan firstly started the meeting with extending welcome to representatives from CAEFI, the Chamber and AmCham. She briefly introduced the background of convening the meeting and some highlights of the Interim Measures on Filing System for Establishment and Change of Foreign-Investment Enterprises, on which the MOFCOM has been calling for comments to the public.

Vice President of the Chamber, Sara Marchetta extended the appreciation of the Chamber to the MOFCOM on making the effort to better facilitate the FIEs in China. She made some general comments on the Interim Measures as well as some specific articles. Maggie Xie, Head of Government Affairs of the Chamber, also asked about legislation plan of Foreign Investment Law.

DDG Fan and her colleague responded to the comments. DDG Fan said that the MOFCOM would like to work with foreign chambers to ensure the sound implementation of the Interim Measures. She thanked all participants for their time and comments provided. She said that she and her colleagues will take all the comments into consideration to better improve the Interim Measures to be implemented soon.
