Position Paper 2010/2011 presented to Spanish authories

On 29th September, Jacques de Boisséson arrived in Madrid to present the 2010/2011 Position Paper to the Spanish Authorities and brief them on the outcome of their recent meetings in Brussels.

A delegation of Spanish companies led by President Jacques de Boisséson met with Mr. Fernando Salazar, Executive Vice-President of ICEX (Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade), Mr. Jose Carlos Garcia de Quevedo (Secretary of State of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade) and Mr. Jesús Banegas, Vice-president CEOE (the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations, the major representative institution of the Spanish business community) reflecting the increasing interest of the Spanish community on Euro-Sino relations.

President de Boisséson also introduced the Position Paper to more than 70 Spanish companies with interests in China during two conferences, held at IE Business School and CEOE, together with a private dinner sponsored by Amadeus. The audience raised several questions on market access, IPR, certification requirements, access to finance, public procurement, construction industry and EU policy towards China, welcoming the chamber’s suggestion on forging and implementing a common China policy at EU and EU Member State Level.  Click here for  the detailed Agenda.
