After received the China Hotels Starlight Award for TOP 10 BUSINESS HOTEL 2008. Sofitel Galaxy welcomed a couple of VIP guest in June they are former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew. His delegation also included current Deputy Prime Minister Mr Wong Kan Seng as well as three Ministers from the Republic of Singapore. Mr Lee is the latest of a long list of Head of States and royalties staying at Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing, a list that includes Chancellor Angela Merkel and Dr Henry Kissinger.

Chairman of Taiwanese Kuomintang Wu Poh-Hsiung is also greeted upon his arrival by Christophe Lauras, General Manager of Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing. Chairman Wu was on an official tour of the Mainland and visited Nanjing after his meeting with President Hu Jin Tao.
