With the signing of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), China Customs at all levels have been promoting more preferential policies and treatments regarding international trade, such as publishing more relax restrictions on market access and simplifying custom clearance procedures. With that, companies especially multinational companies (MNCs) are able to import more products in demand to achieve better supply chain arrangements and enhance market competitiveness.
However, MNCs often encounter Customs valuation inquiries from China Customs such as royalty arrangement, transfer pricing set up, etc. Customs valuation has always been a focus from China Customs since it is a very technical topic which directly links to the company’s profits, costs and business arrangement.
In this regard, Ms. Nie and Mr. Zhu from PwC WMS will share their knowledges and experiences on the hot topics relating to Customs valuation, industry observations and experiences on related party transaction, royalties inspections etc., while discussing cases encountered by companies in the practice. They will also bring in-depth observations on Customs’ centralized monitoring on industry-specific issues, etc.
