Goal 11 of The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposes that the value of the business is not only in providing specific infrastructure, technology, services and financial solutions but also in promoting the overall optimisation of urban systems. By empowering cities to optimise and transform infrastructure, use R&D capabilities to provide innovative urban solutions, and support local small and medium-sized enterprises, enterprises can promote urban inclusiveness and safety, and continuously improve the city’s disaster resistance capacity and build sustainable development in communities and towns. The European Chamber’s member companies make outstanding contributions to urban and industrial construction with innovative approaches, and use their industrial and commercial strength and power to make cities and communities more resilient and sustainable.
This year the European Chamber Shanghai Chapter will run the 6th cycle of its flagship project: Sustainable Business Awards 2022 (SBA). The SBA is to reward excellence in sustainable and CSR company programmes and raise awareness about sustainable business practices and responsible operating models. Resilient Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure Leader continues to be one of the six categories for this year’s awards.
We are delighted to invite you to attend the SBA 2022 - Sustainable CEO Talk Series: Resilient Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure Leader. In this CEO Talk, winners of this category from past years will outline their successful projects and practises in innovative infrastructure, innovative solutions, support to local suppliers and others.
