Independent research activities are the best practice to promote lean. The Shenyang Chapter, launches the series of Lean Independent Research-Quick Breakthrough from Exchange Visits. We would like to invite the lean related personnel from various companies to visit different companies, guiding them to observe the actual problems of on-site operation, face the problems, and solve the wastes that hinders the realization of the value stream. Not only can it help to enhance the awareness and skills of participants, but also benefits the company's implementation of lean. Introduction of Michelin Shenyang Tire Company
Established in 1995, Michelin Shenyang Tire Company is Michelin's largest production base in the world, covering three major production lines: car tyres, truck tyres and semi-finished products.
In 2010, Michelin Shenyang Tire Company 2 was approved as a national project, and the first tyres were produced in September 2012 and July 2013 for truck tyres and car tyres respectively. With a total investment of RMB 12 billion and a total site area of 72 hectares, the project is Michelin's most automated plant in the world and employs nearly 3,000 people.

MSTC – Michelin Shenyang Tire Company – General Manager, works for the French multi-national Company for 12 years. He held various positions in the Michelin Group in the Manufacturing Operations. In the last 5 years, based in Liaoning Shenyang, he has deployed Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles.
