The next SME Forum meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday 19th October in Shanghai. Next to the sharing of an important announcement regarding the leadership of the Forum, the meeting will revolve around recent developments in visa regulations with a particular focus on SME enterprises.

Following recent regulatory developments, it is expected that a select number of regulations surrounding the hiring of skilled foreign staff will be somewhat relaxed. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) issued the finalized regulation relating to labour dispatch (namely, the Interim Provisions on Labour Dispatch) on 24 January 2014. The Labour Dispatch Regulations takes effect from 1 March 2014. With the transitional provisions, enterprises could handle the issue within two years after the effective date of the Interim Provision ( i.e., before 1 March 2016)
