Numerous applications were received from companies based in and outside of the European member states in the 2023 submission process. To highlight the successful stories of the winning applications from this year, we group the winners by the countries of origin. In this talk, we are inviting companies originating from France, FORVIA Faurecia China, Lesaffre, and VEOLIA, who won the 2023 SBA in these categories respectively - Decarbonisation Leader, Rural Development Pioneer, and Circular Economy Pioneer, to outline their successful projects and practices. To recognise the contribution of French companies to sustainability, the Chamber is also inviting a representative from the Consulate General of the Republic of France in Shanghai to deliver the closing remarks.

Decarbonization of the electric power system is the key to realize the “double carbon” target. EU SMEs have to increase the usage of renewable energy while decreasing coal power when facing the ever-growing demand in electricity.
