The European Union Chamber of Commerce has been a strong advocate of CSR in the past years. A significant number of fresh graduates are not equipped with the competitive skills needed to function successfully in the current work environment in China, resulting in companies spending large amounts of time and money in training.
To help bridge the gap between students’ capabilities and market needs, the European Chamber Human Resources Working Group further recommends that companies get involved in developing university curriculum. Academia and business need to work hand in hand to share resources and develop competitive talent the market needs.
