The "Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents," also known as the Apostille Convention, became effective in China on November 7, 2023. This widely applicable convention, with the highest number of contracting members under the Hague Conference on Private International Law, aims to streamline the cross-border circulation of public documents. This change significantly reduces both the time and economic costs associated with document processing for both Chinese and foreign citizens and businesses, thereby facilitating international trade and personal exchanges.

Numerous applications were received from companies based in and outside of the European member states in the 2023 submission process. To highlight the successful stories of the winning applications from this year, we group the winners by the countries of origin.
