This session will focus on:
• Introduction into the system of Chinese employment law: core issues, impact of local laws on employment practice, developments and trends
• Drafting terms of employment contracts: statutory content of employment contracts, duration, probationary periods, salary, sick pay and holidays, notice, termination, confidentiality and IP issues
• Dispute resolution: grievances, disciplinary issues and dismissals: Termination of employment, Grounds for dismissal, Disciplinary procedures, Labour Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Law
• IIT and social security system: structuring of compensation packages

Sebastian Wiendieck is attorney-at-law (Germany) and head of the office of Rödl & Partner in Guangzhou, China. He has been working in Guangzhou in 2007 and 2008 and returned to Guangzhou after postings in Beijing, Shanghai and Frankfurt in December 2012. He advises medium-sized enterprises as well as multi-nationals on their business activities in China for almost five years. Mr. Wiendieck specializes in commercial and corporate law issues. He further advises clients in complex dispute resolution matters and cross-border transactions. Mr. Wiendieck graduated from the University in Rostock, School of Law in 1998. Prior to joining Rödl & Partner Mr. Wiendieck worked as lawyer in the dispute resolution departments of two major international law firms in Frankfurt and Hong Kong.
