Event Description
The China IPR SME Helpdesk and European Union Chamber of Commerce are pleased to invite you to the workshop “Using China Customs to protect your IPR”. China is one of the few countries that examine exported goods as well as imported goods, and can thus help you to protect your Intellectual Property. China customs has the authority to confiscate infringing goods, impose fines on infringers and arrange for criminal proceedings on behalf of foreign companies.
During this workshop, the following issues will be addressed:
• How to register your Intellectual Property with the General Administration of Customs
• The benefits for your business of registering your Intellectual Property with customs
• The types of Intellectual Property than can be protected through customs
• Measures that can be taken to facilitate enforcement proceedings against infringers
• Get the opportunity to ask your questions to an experienced China IPR expert

Speaker Biography
Fabio Giaocopello, Partner, HFG
Fabio Giacopello is partner at HFG since September 2010. He has substantive experience in IP litigation and anti-counterfeiting in both Europe and China. His experience ranges from chemical patent litigation to luxury goods trademark enforcement. At HFG, Fabio is responsible for international business development, the price committee, team trainings and other matters. He often cooperates with educational institutions and associations in giving lectures about Intellectual Property.

China IPR SME Helpdesk training events are available to European Small and Medium Enterprises and SME intermediary organisations such as embassies or consulates, chambers of commerce and trade associations only. China IPR SME Helpdesk events are closed to law firms and consultants who offer IPR services. You will receive a confirmation email.
