New Value Added Tax pilot programme --
Practical Implementation Advice for Businesses
How the VAT pilot programme will change everything
The European Chamber invites you to a seminar exploring implications of the recently announced Valued Added Tax (VAT) pilot programme.
China’s State Council has announced conducting a pilot program for the services industry in Shanghai to replace business tax with VAT, effective from 1 January 2012.
Although the current reform is confined to Shanghai, it would have great implications for enterprises outside Shanghai.
In this seminar, we would outline the main contents of the reform and the actual implementation situations so far in Shanghai.
Also, we would discuss the tax implications for service providers and customers outside Shanghai who do business with Shanghai enterprises under this pilot scheme. Importantly, the reforms are also likely to have significant legal consequences in terms of contracting and pricing.
Guest speaker Peter Law, Senior Manager from Mazars, Shanghai office, will be explaining the developments and answering any queries you might have.
