Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Insurance Working Groups meeting, to be held on Wednesday 26th October, starting at 11:00 am at the European Chamber office. In Beijing, this will be followed by lunch at the Kempinski Hotel.
We are sad to announce that Mr. Hans-Joerg Probst, Chair of the Insurance Working Group, has informed us that he will return to Germany at the end of October. Therefore, a new election has become necessary. We would like to thank him for the great commitment with the European Chamber; Hans-Joerg represented the European Chamber and the Insurance Working Group at various lobby meetings, has immensely contributed to the Position Paper and has always been of great support for the Chamber secretariat. We will sure miss him as much as he’ll miss us!
At this meeting we will have the honour and pleasure to welcome in Shanghai Ms. Lynn Yang, partner at Norton Rose Law Office. She will give a presentation on the impact of bancassurance regulations on distribution management in China.
We will also have a second presentation in Beijing by Ms. Tracy Zhang, partner at KPMG. She will present on a topic raised by several members on taxation issues for foreign representative offices in China.
