SEVEN GREAT WINES & 10 GREAT EUROPEAN GRAPES ~
On the pictuesque terrace of Goga-on-the-Hai the jouney begins with the Antech Cuvee Elegance Brut 2008. This historic original sparkling wine from Limoux in the south of France, made from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Mauzac grapes, will be served as an aperitif.
As guests are seated and the meal commences, China's best white wine - the refreshing and clean Grace Vineyard Symphony Dry Muscat 2009 - will be served followed by the delightfully fresh and fruity Vina Chocalan Malvilla Sauvignon Blanc, 2008, the same wine the Chilean President served U.S. President Obama.
The next white wine will be the intense and perfumed Mesh Eden Valley Riesling, 2008 from the coolest climate mainland Australian wine region.
The Spanish three varietal blend (Grenacha, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon) Bodega Virgen del Aguila Artigazo 2007 from the northern Spain region Aragon will be the first red followed by the classic Pressac-Leognan Grand Cru Classe Chateau Carbonnieux 2008 (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot) from Graves, Bordeaux.
The final wine will be the noble sweet wine of Piedmont, Italy the Pio Cesari Moscato d'Asti, 2009, an elegant honey perfumed wine with excellent freshness.
Don't miss out on this unparalleled pairing of fabulous wines and outstanding cuisine in this brand-new and charming setting, as we bid farewell to another Shanghai summer!
