New era of benefits for your talent
When China surpassed Japan as the world's second-largest economy last year, the unprecedented demand for experienced professional and executive positions placed significant pressure on most corporations in China.
With high attrition and above-market salaries for key talent in tier-one cities, the traditional perception of benefits as a cost of doing business rather than as a strategic part of the overall workforce plan is now questionable. A market-median approach - offering market-comparable plan designs - is underappreciated by employees and does not leverage the benefit spend as a key competitive differentiator. What's more, to offer tomorrow what you offer today will cost more, adding difficulty in incorporating non-salary compensation into the overall workforce planning framework and employee value proposition.
Mirroring benefits offered by other companies might be a safe path to take for now but it won't solve the greater challenges of attracting and retaining the right talent, nor provide you with a competitive advantage.
At this half-day seminar, Mercer consultants will cooperate with the European Chamber of Commerce to share with you:
- New standards – bringing revolutionary changes to the way we offer and manage
non-cash benefits
- Flexible benefits – finding the right design for your organization
- Executive benefits – addressing the concerns on health and wealth benefits of senior executives
