The European Chamber takes our great pleasure to invite you to our second Manufacturing Working Group meeting, which will take place at 17h00 on 11th November (Thursday) in The Bookworm (Address:Yujie East Road 2-7#, Ren Min South Road 28#) Chengdu.
The value of a Manufacturing Working Group of the European Chamber in Chengdu is to create a direct communication channel between you, as in manufacture related industry and concerned government departments.
The first round table discussion meeting of a Manufacturing Working Group in Chengdu attained at below points:
A.) Lobbying to give suggestions on supply chain management and information updates, especially on logistics and infrastructure.
B.) Lobbying with Quality Control Office to advise on local supplier quality problem, specially when quality certificates such as ISO9000, do not guarantee the quality that they should guarantee.
C.) Lobbying with Chengdu Customs to discuss and solve diverse problems.
D.) National standards for environment and risk certificates cannot always be accepted by Chengdu government, and we should improve the situation.
E.) Staff retention and HR market pricing, especially for SMEs can be shared among Working Group members.
F.) JV / WOFE establishment in different cities for a big member company can be shared during Working Group meetings.
Based on notes of last meeting mentioned above, we are more than advising to go through those points in detail meeting to meeting, which suggests that our meeting on 11th can discuss more concrete issues on supply chain management.
