09:00 – 10:00 Xie Jingdong, Head of Market Supervision, East China Electricity Regulatory Bureau (www.ecerb.gov.cn)Deregulation in the East China Power Industry The Chinese government issued policy No.5 in 2002, indicating the start of the power industry deregulation. East China is selected as two of the piloting areas for implementing electricity markets by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC). In our meeting, the deregulation process and the latest policies about deregulation in East China power industry will be analyzed. The ECERB would like to discuss with the European Chamber the tendency of power industry deregulation and possible future policies about the power industry.
10:00 – 10:45 Jacques Boppe, GWI Wind Technology and Vice Chair of the Energy WG: Overview of Clean Energy Sectors in China
Jacques will take us through the specific sectors Wind, Solar, Nuclear and the main characteristics of these sectors in China
10:45 – 11:00 Recap of the EU Energy days at EXPO (5-7 July) and private EUCCC dinner we had with EU Energy Commissioner OettingerPlease note that our meeting with ECERB is relevant for all industrial power consumers for which the deregulation and price setting has effect.
