Strategic Talent Management I:
Discovering and Selecting Your Organization’s High Potentials
By ATRAIN LTD.
The following recent developments have greatly impacted the way is managed both in Guangdong and globally:
• The “War for Talent” where a growing need for talent and a shrinking talent pool of managers globally is impacting the ability of companies to staff key positions
• The high mobility of talent between companies and across borders
• The failings of most countries’ school systems to create talent that is equipped to take on management roles in organizations
• A strong desire by key talents to be developed in-house, actively and in a personalized way
Based on these trends, it is imperative that companies take a proactive role in developing their talent. And by development, we mean not just sending them to trainings or workshops, but first being very clear about exactly what they need to do to develop themselves and then to deliver that on an individualized and customized basis as much as possible.
In this context, we would like to welcome Tim Carey, Ph.D., Managing Partner of Atrain Ltd., to share his experience of what several cutting-edge Fortune 500 MNCs have done to address the issue of Talent Selection.
Before talent management even begins, it is critical to know just who your talent is. In this first part of the Talent Management Strategy series of workshops; Tim will take participants on a step-by-step journey through the talent assessment process.
This presentation and discussion will include:
