The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the 2024 kick-off meeting of the Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) Working Group. It will be held on Tuesday, 5th March 2024, 10:30 – 12:00 offline at the European Chamber Beijing office, as well as online.
At this meeting, NBFI Working Group Chair Renato di Chiara will give an overview of the WG’s 2023 activities. The meeting will also include the 2024/2025 WG Chair and Vice Chair Elections, and the 2024/2025 Position Paper Kickoff. At the kick-off, members will have the opportunity to discuss the Key Recommendations and Advocacy work of the NBFI WG over the past year and give recommendations on the next Position Paper. Please find attached the previous NBFI WG Position Paper for your reference.
In accordance with European Chamber guidelines, another email will be sent to the Working Group prior to the election, with the biographies and motivation letters of all candidates attached. Should you be interested in putting your name forward for election, please send your CV and Motivation Letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair to Ms. Kalina Pateva at kpateva@europeanchamber.com.cn by Tuesday 27th February at the latest. In your Motivation Letter please state why you wish to be elected Chair or Vice Chair and provide a set of goals you have for the WG over the next 12 months as well as your intended contribution to the Position Paper.
In order to vote in the election, you must register to vote with Ms Kalina Pateva (kpateva@europeanchamber.com.cn ) up to 24 hours before the election. There may only be one vote per company – if more than one member from the same company would like to attend the meeting, please clearly indicate which member will vote in the election. Voting will take place after each candidate has had the opportunity to give a short election speech. The duration of the term for both Chairs and Vice Chairs is one year. All elected Chairpersons must sign the Code of Conduct following election.
