European Chamber Pharmaceutical Working Group cordially invites you to Working Group Meeting, The anti-corruption campaign in China’s healthcare sector: impact on businesses and how to respond, to be held on Thursday, 19th October, 10:00 - 11:40, at European Chamber Shanghai Office and online via Zoom.

The anti-corruption campaign in the healthcare sector has reached an unprecedented scale in China since mid-July 2023 and could become the norm in the future. For companies in the sector, proactive measures to strengthen resilience, maintain stability and strive for long-term development in the context of the anti-corruption campaign will become increasingly important in shaping future competitiveness.

2023年，国内医疗领域反腐力度持续加大，尤其是7月中旬以来，一场力度空前的医药反腐风暴正在全国范围内展开。从长远看，医药反腐也将成为今后一段时间内的常态化举措。对于行业内的企业而言，如何采取积极的应对举措以加强自身韧性，在反腐风暴中保持稳定态势并寻求长远发展，将成为塑造未来竞争力的关键。

In this meeting, Ms. Zhixing Zhang, Associate Director at Control Risks, and Mr. Chenyu Wu, Analyst at Control Risks, will share their insights on this topic. They will share the latest progress of the anti-corruption campaign and the impact on business, and provide suggestions for government relations and future investment decisions, etc.

在本次工作组会议中中，化险集团大中华及东北亚区全球风险分析团队副总监张之星女士、分析师吴晨瑜先生将带来特别解读。他们将分享医药反腐行动的最新进展和企业影响，并重点围绕政府关系、行业监管、未来投资决策考虑等方面为企业提供建议。

Based in Shanghai, Zhixing Zhang is responsible for delivering and developing Control Risks’ analytical products and providing consulting services in geopolitical, political, security and operational risks pertaining to China and North-East Asia. Before Control Risks, Zhixing worked as a Senior Analyst for a geopolitical risk consultancy, where she led the strategic analysis and forecasting on China and South-East Asia. Her areas of focus include China’s business environment and regulatory landscape, the Belt and Road Initiative and Asia-Pacific maritime security.

Chenyu Wu is an Analyst at Control Risks. Based in Shanghai, Chenyu provides analysis and consulting services on political, regulatory, and operational risks for clients in Greater China and Northeast Asia. His recent work has focused on issues such as anti-corruption enforcement, medical reforms, and technology governance. Before joining Control Risks, Chenyu was a research assistant a strategic consulting firm. He also has experience working with multinational international think tanks.
