Dear Members,
We are delighted to invite you to attend the next meeting of the Banking & Securities Working Group to be held on Thursday May 21st, 8h30 – 10h00 at our offices in Beijing (see the address above).
At this meeting we will discuss the draft of the Position Paper for 2009/2010 (the first draft will be send out soon) as well as review the impacts of the recent call for comments issued by the CBRC and SAFE. You should have received a separate email with those regulations. Please find below more details on those regulations.
1. SAFE, Issued a Call for Comment on May 5th; “Notice of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on Issues Concerning Management of Foreign Exchange Accounts of Overseas Organizations in China”.
2. CBRC, Issued a Call for Comment on May 12th; “Measures on Administration of Pilot Consumer Finance Companies “.
3. CBRC also issued Measures on April 16th to facilitate the implementation of branches in rural areas for joint stock and city commercial banks.
Tentative Agenda:
1. Discussion on Recent regulation issued by the SAFE and the CBRC.
2. Position Paper review First draft (will be send out before the meeting).
