The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to this year’s Green Development Conference, jointly organised with BMW Brilliance Automotive, which will take place on 16th December 2021 in the Conrad Shenyang.
中国欧盟商会非常荣幸地邀请您参加今年与华晨宝马汽车公司联合举办的绿色发展大会，会议将于2021年12月16日在沈阳康莱德酒店举行。
Chinese and European industry experts will discuss carbon neutrality policies, laws and regulations, as well as opportunities and challenges faced by enterprises in the fields of energy, environment, transportation and manufacturing.
中国和欧洲的行业专家将讨论碳中和政策、法律和法规，以及企业在能源、环境、交通和制造领域面临的机遇和挑战。
Following the engaging discussions last year on the theme ‘Emission Reduction and Energy Efficiency’, the 2021 conference will focus on ‘Carbon Neutrality in Automotive and Components Industries’. Well-known European enterprises will share their insights and perspectives from throughout the industrial supply chain, namely research and design, production, logistics, sales and marketing, strategy and development.

Terms & Conditions
Events have limited seating so to ensure your attendance we encourage advance online registration and payment. We cannot guarantee entry to anyone not registered in advance.
Payment can be made by cash or WeChat. If pay in advance via WeChat we are typically able to provide Fapiao upon your arrival. For payments made on-site we will dispatch the Fapiao to the given address within 5-10 days.
Events are held in English and follow the Chatham House rule unless otherwise stated.
Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend the event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than one business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify us of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will be charged for event costs.

Mr. Guido Giacconi
Ing. Guido D. Giacconi is co-founder and currently President of In3act Srl, an Italian business strategy consulting and advisory company with operations in China since 2006, focused on Energy and Environmental Protection, Regions Business and Economy Planning, Automotive, Consumer Goods, Chemical, Retail. Among many European Clients, In3act is honored to assist also National and Local Chinese Governments -unique Italian strategy consulting company to serve Public Administrations in China.
He is also CEO of In3act Global - a Group holding with interests in consulting and investments - CEO of GDG&C Srl, a business consulting company specialized in SMEs, active in Europe and China.
Former national Chair of EUCCC Energy WG, former Vice Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, former Chair of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Energy and Environment Protection Working Committee, consultant to the Embassy of Italy in China and Italian Trade Agency. In 2017 Ing. Giacconi has developed and issued an advanced study of the Made in China 2025 Chinese Government program and released to Italian Institutions for designing and setting up the most proper Sino-Italian cooperation.
Recently participated as advisor to EU Commission and the State Council think tank Development Reform Center about the EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investments under discussion between Europe and China.
Associate Prof. at Scuola Sant’Anna di Pisa, Member of Experts Committee and professor at Global Management China Master and lecturer in many Universities in Europe and China including Tsinghua University in Beijing, member of the Scientific Committee of Rigneracity/Remtech.
Deep strategy consulting experience having covered positions as senior partner of prominent business strategy firms such as Bain Company, KPMG, Booz Allen and Hamilton, Roland Berger with assignments in many countries in Europe and USA.
Matured a deep managerial experience assuming the role of Managing Director and CEO in several companies in Europe. Ing. Giacconi started his career in Procter & Gamble where he worked for about a decade and achieved the responsibility of VP EMEA for several product categories in USA and Europe. Ing. Giacconi worked in USA, UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and China where Ing. Giacconi is resident for years.
Degree in Electronic and Bioengineering at Bologna University. Matured deep experiences, both as manager and strategy advisor, in many industrial sectors with specific focus on Energy and Environment Protection, Urban Energy Planning, Circular Economy, Healthcare, Consumer and Luxury Goods, Government Affairs, Agriculture, ICT, Industrial goods, etc.
Acquired a broad experience in business management and practicing in complex multicultural environments and in structuring business internationalization strategies aimed at harmonizing business practices and culture gaps, both for SMEs and MNCs.
Mr. Harald Kumpfert
Harald Kumpfert serves as Co-Founder and General Manager ECO-WIT New Energy Co. Ltd. and Chairman of the Board, EU Chamber of Commerce in China, Shenyang Chapter.
Harald Kumpfert has been working for 20 years in China in the field of energy efficiency.
From 1996 to 2009 Harald used to work for Honeywell and Siemens in China to lead the controls business for heating and cooling systems. Many city heating systems were modernized using control systems to reduce energy consumption and to improve the operational safety.
Innovative system designs and control methods were introduced to the Chinese market.
In 2010, Harald Kumpfert joined SmartHeat and established the Heat Pump business through acquisitions in China and Germany.
In 2016, Harald Kumpfert founded and Established ECO-WIT New Energy Co. Ltd and Established Strategic Partnerships with Kuebler GmbH, to become the Representative for China. And established partnerships in China for joint market development.
Harald also introduced new technologies, designs and operational methods to the industry, helping companies to reduce their energy bills while contributing to the improvement of air quality.
In appreciation for his contribution to the development of the City of Shenyang and the Liaoning Province Harald was awarded the Rose Prize of Shenyang in 2013 and the Friendship Award of Liaoning in 2014.
In 2015 Harald Kumpfert joined the Board of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and took over the position of Chairman of the Shenyang Chapter to support European Companies in developing their business in North East and to foster the ties with the society.
Dr. Franz Decker
Dr. Franz Decker is the expert in production management, he has rich experience working in the BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) for over twenty years, currently he is the President and CEO of BBA.
戴鹤轩博士是生产管理方面的专家，并在宝马已辛勤耕耘20余载。现担任宝马总裁兼首席执行官。
Dr. Franz joined BMW in Shenyang in September 2016 as Vice President of Strategy and Logistics. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Technology and Manufacturing in January 2020. Before he came to China, he had worked for BMW Group for 18 years. In recent years, Dr. Franz has been responsible for and successfully built new factories and upgrading projects even when the whole automotive industry facing multiple challenges. At the same time, he has also continuously promoted BMW's production to a new high.
戴鹤轩博士于2016年9月加入沈阳宝马，时任战略和物流副总裁职务，2020年1月晋升为技术及生产高级副总裁，而在他来中国之前已拥有在宝马集团工作18年的丰富经验。在近年来汽车行业面临多重挑战的情况下，戴鹤轩博士负责并成功建设了新工厂及升级改造项目，同时还推动宝马连创产量新高。
Mr. Christophe Gelloz
Mr.Gelloz works for the French multi-national Company for 12 years. He held various positions in the Michelin Group in the Manufacturing Operations. In the last 5 years, based in Liaoning Shenyang, he has deployed Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles. 陈多福先生米其林沈阳轮胎有限公司总经理，法国跨国公司工作12年，在米其林集团制造领域担任过多个职位。过去的五年，一直致力于米其林沈阳工厂精益生产和工业4.0的推广和应用。
Dr. Yubo Wang
Dr. Yubo Wang has 20 years experiences in automotive industry, in OEM and supplier companies. Since 2011 as general manger of Dr. Schneider Automotive Parts (Liaoyang) Co., Ltd.
王玉波博士在汽车行业拥有 20 年的经验。 2011年至今担任施耐德博士汽车配件（辽阳）有限公司总经理。
Mr. Huw Slater
Based in China since 2011, Huw is an Energy and Climate Specialist at ClientEarth. He currently works on the EU-China Environment Project, which fosters policy integration and collaboration between China and the EU through a series of exchange activities on environmental protection and the green economy, bringing together policymakers and researchers from both sides. He previously worked on the EU-China Emissions Trading Cooperation Platform, the UK Prosperity Fund China Energy and Low Carbon Economy Programme, and with the Chinese NGO Institute for Environment and Development. Huw is the lead author of the annual China Carbon Pricing Survey reports, the most in-depth and extensive summaries of stakeholder views on China's carbon market development.
Mr. Howard Zhang 张宏卓
Howard serves as Senior Manager of Government Affairs at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) China for 10 years and 4 years for Volkswagen China before that. His major responsibility includes following up and analysing of Macro- and industrial policy which potentially affects core business of the company; ensuring the compliance of JLR product and business behaviour with relevant legislations; as representative of JLR, joining the discussion on policy/legislation held by authorities; cooperating with association and think-tank on the study of look-ahead topics shaping the industry. His routine work covers various topic from road and development (R&D)/production to customer service, offering professional insights in support of strategical decision making by the company in particular.
张宏卓在捷豹路虎（JLR）中国担任政府事务高级经理已有十年，曾于大众汽车中国任职四年。负责跟踪和分析可能影响公司核心业务的宏观和产业政策、保障捷豹路虎的产品和商业行为的合规性、代表公司参与当局举行的政策及立法讨论、与协会和智库合作研究前瞻性行业议题等。负责业务涉及研发、生产及客户服务等，擅长为公司的战略决策提供专业见解。
Mr. Erich Kaiserseder
Mr. Erich Kaiserseder is an Austrian national and a highly experienced and passionate hospitality industry professional. With over 30 years hotel experience, across countries and areas such as Mainland China, U.S., UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, Middle East, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan etc., Erich held leading roles with international hotel brands like Ritz-Carlton and Shangri-La. Prior to joining Conrad Shenyang, Erich held the role of General Manager at The Langham Haikou.
With his extensive experience, professional knowledge, leadership and great passion for people and service, Erich is ready to lead the team of Conrad Shenyang towards a successful launch of Conrad Shenyang, by delivering bespoke intuitive luxury service experiences to the Shenyang hospitality market.
