The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), which attracted worldwide attention, closed in Glasgow, UK, in the evening of 13th November local time. After nearly two weeks of debates and negotiations on how to tackle climate change in joint efforts, around 200 countries adopted the Glasgow Climate Pact and made promises for further actions. The European Chamber welcomes a group of experts from SinoCarbon, ICF and Greenovation Hub to share the latest information from the conference, examine the impact of the COP26 outcomes on businesses and the civil society, as well as the consequences on industries in the years to come.

Adam Dunnett is responsible for the overall implementation the European Chamber's objectives, visibility, membership and lobbying activities across its 7 chapters and 9 offices in China (Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Shenyang and Tianjin).

Mr. QIAN Guoqiang is Deputy General Manager of SinoCarbon, the leading climate policy and green development consultant in China. He is an ETS specialists and recognized expert on climate policy and green development, with one of the most ex-tensive records of supporting ETS designing and operation both at the pilot and natio-nal level in China. He is currently the Key Expert of EU-China ETS Policy Dialogue Platform, and also managing a team for a diversified portfolio of projects for a wide va-riety of clients, including national and local governments, key international and domes-tic enterprises, international organizations and foundations, covering areas of climate policy, ETS, carbon neutral, green branding, circular economy, watste treatment, green transportation, renewable energy, ect.
Mr. QIAN was climate policy expert in the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and one of the key climate negotiators in the Chinese dele-gation during 2005 and 2011. He participated in the formulation of a number of key climate policies in China, including China’s national Climate Change Programme, China’s Initial National Communication to UNFCCC, Measures for the Management of VER Trading, Administrative Rules on Managing the Operation of CDM Projects in China and its follow up amendments, as well as Administrative Rules on Managing the CDM Fund in China.
Mr. QIAN is serving as focal point to the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP). He was Member of UNFCCC Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC) for 6 years, and Board Director of the Gold Standard Foundation for 5 years.

Ms. Hongyu Guo
Hongyu leads the work on strategic climate communications, coordinates research and dialogues on climate-resilient international cooperation and energy transition, and tracks the international climate governance processes, to promote climate-friendly policy-making and implementation. As the editor of China Climate Wire since 2013, she has been promoting discussions on the urgency and co-benefits of climate action and energy transition.
Mr. Enrui Zhang
Mr. Enrui Zhang
Enrui is an expert on energy policies and investment barriers for a low-carbon economy. He has drafted various world-class policies, including the G20 Energy Efficiency Leading Program and the G20 Energy Efficiency Investment Toolkit. These policies form global commitments to accelerate economic transition toward low-carbon societies.
From 2016 to 2018, Enrui was a Chinese representative on energy sustainability to the G20, International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation, and Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. He led the G20 Top Ten Best Available Technologies and Best Practices Task Group (TOP TENs), managing TOP TENs growth from zero to a flagship task group with eight countries. Enrui developed two TOP TENs international lists and organized knowledge-sharing events with industrial associations and business chambers to facilitate policy exchange and technology transfer. He also supported the development of the International Energy Efficiency Hub.
The China Council for an Energy Efficient Economy nominated Enrui for a Young Energy Specialist distinction. Enrui serves as a senior guest researcher of Green Finance Institute of Hainan Province.
Mr. Shu WANG
Mr. Shu WANG
Wangshu was the Deputy Director of the Climate Dep. of NDRC, having more than 10 years’ experience in the low carbon development and energy areas. He led a large number of Carbon Emission Trial projects, low carbon trial project in different provinces and the cities, and participated the legal document and policy drafting, Chinese carbon emission reducing target making and assessment, and the report drafting on the climate change in China. He also joined many international cooperation projects on the low carbon and carbon market eg. Market Partnership Reserve Fund of World Bank.
He is the key specialist of the EU -China Carbon Market Cooperation Platform, and plays the important role in EU- China Energy Dialogue and Cooperation, British Prosperity Fund project , and Chinese Energy and Low Carbon projects.
