The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to participate a seminar co-organized with Tianjin Power Exchange Centre, to learn more about the coming local trial green electricity transaction.
Since the beginning of 2020, green energy demand among European manufacturing companies in Tianjin has become increasingly urgent, due to concrete global targets set by their headquarters to reduce carbon emissions within the next 5 to 10 years. However, there is currently a critical shortage of renewable energy resources in Tianjin that can enable them to reach these binding goals. As a result, the European Chamber’s Tianjin Chapter has been advocating for access to green energy as one of its top priorities over the past 18 months.
In July 2021, preparation for the trading of green electricity got underway for the first time. Approximately 200 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green electricity, generated in Inner Mongolia, will be traded in Tianjin through market-based transactions. The trial transaction is seen as the first step towards establishing a regular green energy trading mechanism in Tianjin.

2021年7月，天津首次绿色电力市场化交易准备工作启动，来自内蒙古地区约2亿千瓦时绿色电力将在天津进行市场化交易。此次试点交易被视为天津建立正常绿色能源交易机制的第一步。
